Filter by Missing, Owned, or All, tap any row to toggle ownership on the spot, and see your collection progress per series. Built for one-handed use with large touch targets.

Fixed duplicate HTML tags, added error handling for cart saves, sanitized variant picker inputs against XSS, added ARIA roles and Escape-key support to the variant picker modal, restored focus after closing the picker, improved cart icon and checkbox visibility, fixed variant naming for issues with 26+ covers, and added cache busting for price data.

Add issues to a shopping cart directly from the collection view. For issues with variant covers, a full-screen picker popup shows every cover with owned/in-cart status badges and multi-select support. Cart syncs between collection and scanner tabs. Broken cover images show a clean fallback instead of error icons.

The 5,600-line index.html monolith has been broken into 10 focused modules — separate files for CSS, data, state management, rendering, cover maps, initialization, and feature code (export, sharing, notifications). The site loads faster and the codebase is far easier to maintain and extend.

Issue data is now maintained in an external JSON file updated by an automated pipeline. New issues are discovered weekly via the Comic Vine API, and the site loads fresh data on every visit with offline fallback. No more manual data entry for new releases.

Fixed 28 issue detail pages that were missing cover art (Wonder Woman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Catwoman, and Evil). Also fixed the cover loader that was pointing to a wrong URL — it now pulls from the data pipeline's JSON file.

The barcode scanner is now accessible directly from the mobile bottom navigation bar — tap the Scan icon to open it instantly. No more hunting for the floating button on small screens.

Issue cards are now better formatted on mobile — tighter spacing, smaller price inputs, and properly scaled typography so nothing overflows or looks cramped on phone screens.

First-time visitors now automatically get a light or dark theme based on their system preference. Existing users keep their saved theme choice.

Muted text colors on all three light themes (Clean Light, Warm Light, DC Blue Light) now meet WCAG AA contrast requirements for better readability.

43-bug audit sweep: fixed calendar not rendering, timezone date parsing, cloud sync race conditions, import validation, popup block detection, search debounce, touch targets, accessibility attributes, and more. Full details in the changelog below.

Cloud sync now shows a spinning indicator while syncing and categorized error messages (offline, permission denied, etc.) instead of generic "Sync failed" text.

Added Subresource Integrity hashes on all CDN scripts, removed unsafe-eval from CSP, sanitized user photo URLs to prevent XSS, and added a global error boundary for graceful failure handling.

Scan comic barcodes with your phone camera to instantly look up issues. Supports UPC, ISBN, and QR codes. Manual entry fallback for when camera isn't available. Look for the scan icon in the top-right corner.

Story arcs, publication months, and essential reading sections are now collapsible accordions. Expand All / Collapse All buttons for quick navigation. Your accordion state is remembered between visits.

Subscribe to entire series or pin individual upcoming issues to your pull list. New "Pull List" filter in the Collection tab shows only the issues you're tracking. Pull count displays in the stats bar so you always know what's coming.

Track estimated market value for every issue and variant cover. Price Guide card in Analytics shows cover price totals, market value, ROI, and per-series value bars. Prices load from a central data file with fallback to your own estimates. Links to GoCollect, PriceCharting, CovrPrice, and ComicsPriceGuide for real-time lookups.

Log what you paid for each issue with inline price inputs on owned cards. The Analytics tab now includes a Spending Tracker card with total spent, average price per issue, and a per-series spending breakdown.

Each hero theme now swaps the hero banner to that series' #1 cover art with a smooth crossfade transition. Every theme gets a unique CSS animation overlay — Batman rain, Superman energy pulses, Wonder Woman sparkles, Flash speed lines, and more.

Mark individual variant covers as owned on issue detail pages. Variant badges on collection cards show how many variants you own. Syncs to the cloud alongside your regular collection.
